The tech world inexorably marches on around us and it's our solemn duty to do our best to keep up with everything it wants to throw at us. As we enter a new decade it is a timely interval to pause and reflect on what could be waiting just around the corner and appeal to some of the experts in our community for their opinions and advice on what the most important trends are likely to be and how best to handle the challenges that await us.

Josh Duck is an engineering mananger with over 15 years of experience building products for the web. He was one of Facebook's first frontend engineers, has contributed to projects like React and Relay.js, and has managed teams at Facebook, ABC and Clipchamp.

Ben Freke is the Engineering Team Lead for Squiz Matrix, and has been developing software for nearly 15 years. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology and has been leading software teams in the development of award winning software for the past 4 years. With his mix of development and leadership skills, Ben will provide insights into the changing landscape for development teams in 2020 and beyond.

Carrah Jordan is the State Manager for Professional Recruitment Australia (PRA), and has worked as an IT recruitment consultant for over 9 years. With qualifications in Human Resource Management, Psychology and Training, and a proven history of matching best technical talent to QLD based businesses, Carrah's insights will provide food for thought and insights into challenges and trends for 2020.

Bronwen Zande is a Director of Soul Solutions, having spent more of her life as a developer than not.
She is a long-term Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) having been awarded MVP status for Windows Development, Emerging Experiences, Kinect, Bing Maps and Live Services.
Bronwen is an active community member involved in promoting IT as a career with her participation in judging Imagine Cup, Young ICT Explorers and Technology Takes You Anywhere. Bronwen was a founding member of the Brisbane Girl Geek Dinners, organiser of Developer, Developer, Developer Brisbane (now DDD Brisbane) and a multi-year Australian activator for SheEO.
She is an avid traveller and when not behind the lens of a camera can often be found presenting at a local meetup or user group while on her travels.
