Debra Anderson is Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Datavized Technologies, a WebVR software company building a data-driven publishing platform for the 3D web. Debra designs and instructs the first Digi Dev: WebVR undergraduate course at Parsons School of Art, Media, and Technology and guest lectures at MIT, NYU, and ICP. Dawn Barber is the co-founder of NY Creative Tech Week, a premier festival for Creativity and Technology. She also co-founded NY Tech Meetup, a 50K+-member non-profit industry organization that supports and promotes the New York technology community and a central hub of New York’s thriving tech and innovation scene. She has advised tech start-ups, business and governmental entities, and investors alike, having facilitated innumerable business relationships in the process. Dawn has extensive experience planning and organizing major conferences and events in and around the New York technology community since having been one of NYNMA’s (NY New Media Association) directors from 1998-2001. More recently, she has produced several Shorty Awards and Gadgetoff events, among others. Dawn was one of the first Pipeline Fund fellows, and sits on the boards of MOUSE, Institute of Play and the Astia NYC Advisory Board. In addition, she serves on NYC’s Commission on Public Information and Communication (COPIC).

Kate Daly is Senior Vice President of the Center for Urban Innovation at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. She manages a team working across industry sectors to promote innovation and catalyze equitable, sustainable economic development. Industry portfolios include advanced manufacturing, fashion, media, healthcare, life sciences, and sustainability.

Justin Hendrix is Executive Director of NYC Media Lab, connecting media and tech companies with NYC universities to drive digital media innovation and entrepreneurship. Previously he was Vice President, Business Development & Innovation for The Economist. Angela is a Product Marketing Manager at Augment, where she’s helping usher in a new wave of product visualization through the company’s augmented reality platform for eCommerce. Augment enables retailers and manufacturers to share their products with customers in 3D augmented reality from their mobile app or website. Angela’s background spans multiple roles and industries including education, health and wellness, construction, and most recently, retail. As a tech enthusiast and early adopter, she’s passionate about educating companies on technology and workflows that transform the way they do business. Angela first caught the VR/AR bug when the Oculus Rift appeared on Kickstarter in 2012. Since then, she has been an advocate for both mediums. In addition to her professional work in AR, Angela is interested in the intersection of VR, AI, and health. She recently collaborated with a Health Coach and VR developer during a hackathon, where they created a VR prototype for wellness empowerment. The application helps individuals gain insight into various areas of their lives through a simple self-assessment exercise focused on holistic well-being.

D.J. Smith is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at The Glimpse Group. The Glimpse Group is a holding company for a portfolio of startups focused on the virtual and augmented reality industries. At Glimpse, D.J.’s responsibilities include overseeing the production of all VR and AR content as well leading the effort to locate new subsidiary companies. In addition, D.J. is co-organizer of the The New York Virtual Reality Meetup (NYVR) which is currently the 2nd largest VR meetup in the world.
