Come join the crew a boat on a Saturday sailboat race in the Tacoma area! There are 4 Saturday sailboat races this fall hosted by the Corinthian Yacht Club of Tacoma (CYCT). RSVP to this event if you are interested in ANY OF THE FOUR fall Saturday races.
While some sailing experience is helpful, all are welcome. Get out on the water, meet some new people and learn about the fun sport of sailboat racing!
Once you RSVP, information will be provided to you about where you can meet sailboat owners/skippers looking for crew. Once you have connected with a skipper and gone out for a race, you can discuss with the skipper about continuing to go out on that boat for upcoming races.
RSVP ONLY if you need to be assigned to a boat. If you are already assigned to a boat, know which boat/skipper you are going out with, or are already going out on a boat this summer, don't continue to RSVP so we don't try and find you another boat. Make sure your contact info is up to date.

CYCT Crew Membership is a great way to meet more local skippers and sailors, which can provide additional opportunities for hands on experience and mentoring. As a club member, you are welcome to attend all CYCT social events, cruises, our monthly club meetings. Membership also helps support the sport of sailboat racing in the Tacoma area.
Safety - Participating in CYCT sailboat racing is voluntary and is done at your own risk. CYCT takes the crew safety very seriously. Compliance current with Federal, State, and local safety rules and regulations is required by the club. However it is the responsibility of the boat owner/skipper to ensure everyone on their crew complies with these regulations and the crew is kept safe while they are out on the water while participating in CYCT races. If you have any safety related questions or concerns please ask your skipper before you leave the dock or as soon as the question comes up. Remember, you have the final call deciding what you feel safe doing.
