This group is for ALL employees of Cajon Valley Union School District, past and present, and their family members and friends who are interested in participating in healthy activities during non-working hours. It is an opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet co-workers from other schools and departments, socialize,and build on our district-wide team. We will have multiple organizers leading various events. Specific events will be tailored to the abilities and interests of the group. Each event will have a description including the level of difficulty and approximate duration.
Participation is voluntary, the organizers are volunteers, and the activities are outside of work hours. You are solely responsible for your safety and well-being on any event you sign up for. No organizer of this group is in any way liable for any injury or misfortune that could occur. You accept all risks when you RSVP "I'm Going" and show up to participate for this event or any other event.
Notice to All Employees Regarding Participation in Meet-Up Recreational Events
All employees of the Cajon Valley School District (“District”) are advised that participation in any off-duty recreational, social or athletic events such as Meet—Up events are completely outside the scope of District employment and strictly voluntary. These activities are generally organized independently by employees for their own pleasure and are not intended to benefit the District or to be considered a District event or program. These events/activities generally take place during off duty hours and on premises over which the District exercises no control; nor does the District exercise any form of management over the actual conduct of such activities. Employees taking part in Meet-Up or other off-duty recreational events do so at their own-risk and are not covered by workers’ compensation. Employee’s participating in the Meet-up program acknowledge the following:
1. The District is neither a sponser nor a contributor in any way to any aspect to any Meet Up activity or event.
2. Participants must prepare for such activities on their own time; no administrative time off nor special leave shall be granted.
3. Participants do so at their own-risk and workers’ compensation benefits are not available to participants in the event of injuries.
4. This group is private for the protection and privacy of our members.
