Details

• What we'll do
To shoot milky way. And get to know members who are new to the group and have fun shooting and sharing stories with everyone. I'm expecting members know already the basics of your camera. If not, I extremely advise you and highly recommended to please take the class with Don who offers classes every month for members.

• What to bring
Your preferred camera, DSLR or mirrorless or any camera that is capable to shoot a long exposure. A tripod, wide angle lens with a big aperture like 2.8 or lesser, an intervalometer remote timer. A headlamp with red light, a small/medium size flashlight, extra batteries, and memory cards. A chair to sit on while waiting for the milky way to show up, food or snack to eat and also water or hot drink to keep you warm. Wear clothes in layers cause it gets really cold during the night. I don't know yet what the weather will be but in case it's not going to be weather permitting I will cancel it a day before and reschedule it again on the next milky way event. However, whoever signed on will never lose their spot.

• Important to know
Please stay within the group while we are in the badlands, If you need to go somewhere to get a better vantage point please take along a member and inform members of the group where you are going. Go in groups of three and don't get too far. And also be aware of rattle snakes in the badlands for the safety of everyone. We need everyone to get home safely. If you guys need carpool please contribute to the gas money of $30 and arrange it with who you are asking for a carpool. Limit the carpool for at least 2 members for the reason that you have adequate room for your gears too and stuffs you bring. Please be on time no more extra time will be given to members who will be late. It takes about 1 hr to 30 mins travel time without delay so it gives us the time to prepare our gears to shoot when we get there. Milky way comes out between 11 pm up to the earliest hour the next day at its peak.
