Come hike beneath cliffs, through vibrant forests, across meadows and up the pass to see the glacier-topped Mt. Ball and Shadow Lake! While the tourists fill up the trails of elsewhere in the parks, we'll take in the lodgepole pines recovering from the 2003 fire, and Hawk Creek Canyon. Only barely marked as Difficult.
A good level of fitness is required as the pace is moderate to fast, and the hike is long. Please be realistic about your abilities. You must be able to commit to the entire event.

DRIVING AND DIRECTIONS:
We will meet at the in Calgary meeting point and carpool from there. Please be on time as we will only wait a short while past past the departure time before we leave.
Take the TransCanada (Hwy 1; 16th Ave) westbound into Banff National Park. At Castle Junction, take Hwy 93 south towards Radium. Travel 22.5 km south turning right into the Floe Lake / Hawk Creek trailhead (south-west side of the highway).
