The City of Calgary is increasingly dependent on location-based information. City services realize and enable the value of location-based data, geospatial technology and analytical tools - this results in more efficient decisions based on accurate, current and comprehensive data enabling front-line services to be provided to citizens in the most cost-effective manner.

Brett Cedergren graduated from the University of Calgary with his Bachelor of Science in Geography, with focused course work on GIS, Global Geography, City Planning, and Physical Geography. Mr. Cedergren now works with the City of Calgary to develop and maintain a leading edge Enterprise GIS platform to support a broad range of public services.
