Hello there! My name is Azren, aka "Azren the Language Nerd" and I run the Calgary Language Nerds. We are a local business that promotes multilingualism by organizing fun events and offering lessons for over 10 languages. I speak 5 languages myself: English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Gujarati. I would like to learn at least 3 more languages in my lifetime.

Come meet new people at our meet and greet! This is an event for those interested in other languages and cultures.
Whether you've been attending Calgary Language Nerds events for a long time or if it's your first time, we'd love to have you swing by :)Come eat yummy food, have lively conversation, and meet people from different parts of the world!
It's the perfect event for newcomers looking to integrate into the community as well as locals wanting to expand their social circle.
We will speak English at the event. However, if there are a number of people at the event who speak one language, I am more than happy for you to sit together and speak another language.This event costs $1 per person.
This goes toward the costs I have to run the event. I pay about $300 a year in Meetup Organizer fees along with the gas to get to the event, parking, my food/drinks when I'm at each event, etc.Payment is to be made by e-transfer in advance or in cash at the door. Please bring exact change.
