In December 2013, at age 22, the sister of the Club Services Chair was unexpectedly diagnosed with Relapsing-Remittance Multiple Sclerosis. For those who don't know, Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system which affect the brain, spinal cord and/or optic nerve. Multiple Sclerosis is incurable.
To help raise much needed money and awareness for this under funded and unpredictable disease, we have started TEAM AMELIA and am participating in the MS 10km Run. The funds raised will be used to provide facilities and resources for people with MS but also for further research which hopefully will one day lead to a cure!
Your support means families in our community who are impacted by this often devastating disease do not have to face MS alone.
You can get involved by joining Team Amelia and participating in a MS Walk event or simply donate to help the cause http://mssoc.convio.net/goto/teamamelia (http://mssoc.convio.net/goto/teamamelia).)
