2018 "Howlin at the Moon" AMA National Dual Sport Rally
If you have not done this event I cannot tell you what a great ride this is. The "A" routes are challenging but really fun. The views are Spectacular. MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP FOR THE DUAL SPORT RALLY..... NOT THE ADVENTURE BIKE RALLY there are two events. General Information: The rally will stage from the Prescott Elks Lodge located at 6245 E. State Route 69 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. There is limited RV camping available at the Elks Lodge. Contact Frank Staley ([masked] or[masked]) for all RV camping inquires, please do not call the Elks Lodge. Information on other camping, RV and hotel options will be available at www.arizonatrailriders.org. There is a 225 rider limit for this event. Registration is open to street legal Dual sport or adventure motorcyclists only. Participants MUST show proof of AMA membership at Check-In. If you are not an AMA member there is a 2-Day AMA membership available for $20. Registration is open through October 14, 2018. After October 14th Walks up may be available but will not include meals or t-shirt. If extra meals are available they may be purchased at the event. *2-Day Pre Registration for Dual Sport is $110.00 per rider. *2-Day Pre Registration for the Overnight Adventure Ride is $80.00. *1-Day options are available for the Dual Sport event only for $85.00 per rider. *All participants who Pre Register prior to Oct 1st, 2018 will receive a special 10th Anniversary "Howlin' at the Moon" T-shirt. *For both events passengers ride for free but must purchase additional meal tickets. *All riders must be registered for event. No non-registered riders will be allowed to ride with other participants. The Friday Night Fish Fry at the Elks Lodge is not included in entry fee. If for some reason you Pre-Register but then must cancel we will be happy to refund your money based on the following schedule. For 1-day options see ticket description. There are A, B, and C routes available both days. ‘A’ routes are the toughest and include technical 2-track and single track trail. ‘B’ routes are a mix of maintained and un-maintained roads and should be considered “Hero” routes for Adventure riders. The ‘C’ routes are big bike friendly and will be paved roads along with maintained and semi-maintained dirt roads. Saturday starts with breakfast at the Elks Lodge. All routes will go to Crown King, AZ for lunch and gas then loop back to Prescott Valley. After the ride everyone is invited to the Elks Lodge for the Banquet and raffle. Sunday starts with another great breakfast at the Elks Lodge. All Sunday routes are loops through the forest around Prescott. Roll Charts are available by request when you register. GPS track-logs will be emailed to all registered participants prior to the event.
