This is a group of riders that are getting ready to ride in the Arthritis Foundation's CA Coast Classic Bicycle Tour in September. The tour starts in San Francisco and follows Highway One over eight days, ending in LA. Riders train for the tour from March through September. Join us in July on Challenge Hound to see what your fellow participants are doing, get some ideas, feel motivated, share progress, and have fun! Pescadero: Davenport Loop

Ride down CA-1 from Pescadero Beach down to Davenport (almost) and return. 45.5 mi with 2285 ft climbing. Maybe visit Pescadero for food and drink on the way back.

Meet in parking lot for Pescadero Beach at intersection of CA-1 and Pescadero Rd. Look for a vehicle in the parking lot with an orange traffic cone on its top.

Start at 9:00am, 9:00am, 9:00am Cue sheets will be available on the vehicle windshield for late arrivals. Any changes, cancellation or other notices of impending disasters will be posted on the www.cycling4fun.com website by 7:00am the day of the ride. Ride leader is Bob Carlson. Helmets required.

Sausalito: Alpine Dam Loop -- Moved to July 30

The Alpine Dam loop (featuring the 7 Itch-Bays). This is the clockwise direction.
44.8 miles Climbing = 3603 ft.
STARTING LOCATION: Fort Baker in the Discovery Museum parking lot. Fort Baker is just under the Golden Gate and has access off Alexander Ave (the road from Highway one to Sausalito). Fort Baker information with site map here: https://www.nps.gov/goga/planyourvisit/fort-baker.htm

Navato: Marshall Wall/ Pt. Reyes/Sam Taylor Pk

PART A: A challenge for cyclists, the Marshall Wall has been a Northern peninsula standard for a long time. This ride goes over the Wall and then a costal ride to Pt. Reyes. Then through Samuel Taylor Park and Nicasio on the return to the start. 55.6 miles, 3860 climbing.

A lot of this ride is in the open so be prepared for heat and use sunscreen.
There is a parking fee at Stafford bike park.
