Main Meeting #1: The Beginning

Details
Our first "organised" meeting!
We're meeting at Cambridge Business Lounge (http://www.cambridgebusinesslounge.com/), the premier co-working space in Cambridge, by kind permission of the inestimable Ed Goodman.
We'll have at least two AWS staffers joining us: Steven Bryen, who'll be giving a presentation on some of the most recent services, and possibly also Lee Atkinson - both are System Architects at AWS.
We don't have a full food+drink sponsor for this evening, but light refreshments will be provided.
Presentations will include:
(Key to levels: 1xx - Beginner; 2xx - Learning; 3xx - Expert in some areas, learning in others; 4xx - AWS Guru.)
• AWS Code services, and AWS Gateway API - Steven Bryen, AWS System Architect
• From zero to hero in AWS: the starting line (lightning talk) - Tom Clark
• Cloud versus in-house versus hybrid cloud - pros and cons from experience (2xx) - Martin Kendall
(• Microservices, Docker and Amazon - oh my! (2xx) - Jon Green - POSTPONED due to loss of voice!)
Possibly more to come, as and when arranged. As the first main event, presenters haven't had that long to prepare their talks, so this may be a slightly shorter meeting than we're expecting in future. Bring business cards, and an avid interest!
Getting to the meeting:
• By car - park at: Norfolk Street (free after 5pm); Adam and Eve Street car park (free after 7pm); Grafton Centre West and East car parks (paid).
• By car and Park and Ride: use P&R at Newmarket Road, Babraham Road, Madingley Road or Milton. More information here. (http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/info/20149/park_and_ride) Get off at the Grafton Centre stop.
• Train: Cambridge Station. Walk via Station Road, Tenison Road, Mill Road and East Road.
Could you present at this meeting?
Anything from lightning talks (5-10 minutes), through short (15 mins) to full-length (30 mins) presentations welcome. If so, please contact Jon Green.
