What we're about

Cambridge Zen Center is one of the largest Buddhist residential Zen Training centers in the country. CZC was founded in 1973 by early students of Zen Master Seung Sahn, the first Korean Zen master to teach in the West. We offer daily morning and evening meditation and chanting, and weekly public talks and instruction free of charge. Retreats and accommodations are offered for a reasonable price. Zen meditation is a powerful way to clear our mind of habitual thinking. It helps us to balance ourselves and our world by pointing us towards our own wisdom and compassion. New friendships are formed and support for doing this practice is found by coming together for this special purpose.
We have a website! And a weekly email newsletter with new updates and events.

Public Dharma Talk

Link visible for attendees

Our public dharma talks are a popular forum where you can ask a teacher anything! Each talk starts with a short intro talk by a practitioner sharing their spiritual journey. After their talk, the audience is invited to ask questions - on Zen, life, death, or any other pressing concern.

Please join us every Thursday online via Zoom at 7.30 PM. After the official portion is done, there will be an optional brief individual check-in where you'll have the chance to meet sangha members, virtually for now due to the corona virus but hopefully soon again in person.
