What we're about

Adventure Motor Touring is your gateway to find men and women looking to get out and ride while developing life long friends.
We like to explore our city and state; and welcome owners of RV-recreational vehicles; Motorcycles / Spyders, Slingshots; Muscle and Exotic cars, ATV/s and side by-side motor vehicles.

We do everything from exploring our city, day trips up to the mountains, bike nights, car and RV shows and rally’s , culinary, sporting events, along with over-night trips. We also explore cultural festivals, food festivals, street markets, and programs put on at the local state & national parks.

The advantage of membership is socializing, meeting life long friends, buying power, and discount privileges and review of new products as a whole. Members are encouraged to attend events even if they do not own the specific vehicles being toured. A typical day of motor touring range is 100 to 200 miles round trip. We also try to plan a, 2-3 day overnight tour reach quarter.

Overnight tours include (RV's/trailers, Spyders, Motorcycles,Trikes Slingshots and Muscle/Exotic Cars)we'll lodge in RV Parks, State Parks, Cabins, and Hotels.

About the Group:

Adventure Motor Touring is responsible for the overall management of the group. Event organizers are responsible for organizing and coordinating events.

Your profile must include a photo of yourself and YOUR motor vehicle(s) for transparency and the safety of our members. This is a private group, so the usernames and profile information of our members are hidden from search engines and non- members.

Dues:

We charge $20 for annual dues to cover Meetup costs, help compensate event organizers and, encourage more engaged members, fund our reserve fund, and help improve events. You will have a 30-day trial period once you join the group. You’ll need to pay dues before the free trial ends, or you’ll be removed from the group. You can always re-join after submitting payment.

RSVPing and Attending an Event:

You should only attend an event if you RSVP and you’re on the “Going” list. If you see an event is full and you would like to attend, add yourself to the waitlist and then add to your personal calendar. It’s highly likely that you will be able to attend if you are one of the first few people on the waitlist. Check back up to one day before the event (or turn on your notifications) to see if a spot has opened for you.

No-Shows:

Inclement weather, scheduling conflicts and life happens, we understand! However, if you are not planning to attend an event, please update your RSVP to “No” or “Not Going” as soon as you know that you are no longer able to attend. You can even notify the Event Organizer if you are unable to update your status. The event organizers work very hard to put together events for the group and it is discourteous to them when you do not show up; it is also inconsiderate of other members that are on the waitlist and wanted to attend the event.

Three no-shows in a 3-month period will result in your removal from the group and you will not be allowed to rejoin the group for a three-month period. A No-Show is defined as one of the following:

• RSVPs and is on the “Going” list but does not attend the event,

• Updates RSVP to “No” within 24 hours of the event, or

• Attends the event but does not check in with the Event Organizer.

Helpful Tip: We recommend downloading the Meetup app and turning on push and email notifications. That way you’re receiving confirmations and reminders about the meetups you’re signed up to attend. Also, you should enable private messaging so the event organizer can contact you directly if needed.
