Canadian Space Society Winnipeg Chapter World Space Week 2019 Event

World Space Week is upon us again! This year's theme is: The Moon - Gateway to the Stars. The CSS-W invites you to join us at the Manitoba Museum to commemorate this important week for space. The planetarium is hosting two shows of interest: 1 pm – CapCom GO! The Apollo Story and 2 pm on October 5 & 6 only – Astronaut (for World Space Week). We will also see if we can get a special tour of the Lunar Lander exhibit that was created this year in honour of Canada's contribution to the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing.
The ticket prices for the Planetarium & Science Gallery (where the Lander exhibit resides) are as follows: Adult ($20.40), Senior ($17.50), Student ($15), Child ($11.90). It is quite possible that this could be a busy day and thus you should try to book your tickets early.
We will plan to meet at 12:45pm in front of the Museum or in the Lobby if possible. Again, you will want to make sure you have enough time to get your tickets for the first show.
After the two Planetarium shows we will go and visit the Science Gallery and the Lunar Lander Exhibit.
Finally, to be confirmed, we will try to gather at a soon-to-be-selected spot at the Museum or nearby to have some discussion and chat about what we saw and learned.
