What we’re about
This group is for web practitioners and other professionals who are practicing or intending to practice in the area of web accessibility and inclusive design practices.
The aim of this group is to provide an open and welcoming face to face forum for accessibility or inclusive design professionals in the digital space. It doesn't matter if you work for a large organisation, are an independent consultant or just an accessibility advocate. This group is about regularly connecting Canberra's accessibility community, allowing us to share our knowledge, network and exchange ideas.
This group meets on a monthly basis, alternating between presentation/discussion events with evening meetups over casual drinks. If you can't make a meeting, look for #cwaid on twitter to see what is being discussed.

We are so pleased to be partnering with OZeWAI again on another Ask the Professional event.
- OZeWAI Committee member Ricky Onsman moderates a panel featuring representatives of five Australian meetups that focus on digital accessibility and inclusion: Adem Cifcioglu (Melbourne), Amanda Mace (Perth), Brigitta Norton (Canberra), Charissa Ramirez (Sydney) and Rosie Putland (Hobart).
- The aim of this Ask the Professionals session is to explore what the role of meetups is these days, what formats they take, how they attract participants, and what their future holds, and the support OZeWAI can provide.
Please register using the Humanitix link as the meetup creates its own zoom.
Please email info@ozewai.org or message via the meetup if you have any questions or wish to share any tools, communication methods or anything else we should consider to ensure you can fully attend and participate at the event.
-----Please send a message to the admins if you have something you would like to present, an idea for a theme for a meetup or if you would like to host an upcoming meetup.
