Effective Ways to Reduce your Anxiety

Details
If you’re concerned about your health or social life, trying to navigate through unemployment, business or simply wondering what happens next in the face of all the global upheaval and uncertainty… you’re not alone.
Ironically, there IS one constant that almost everybody STILL has in common: A HUGE increase in ANXIETY.
As a qualified therapist, I’ve worked with anxiety sufferers for over 15 years. I’ll explain how anxiety affects your life and how to reduce its physical and mental symptoms effectively. And, as an ex-sufferer, I’ll also share the positive reinforcements that helped me.
Our live event will be delivered in two sections
First, we’ll chat about the fundamentals of anxiety and discuss where it comes from, what triggers it and why/how it affects us differently. You can often start to feel better by understanding what anxiety actually is and that you’re not alone.
Secondly, I’ll guide you through some practical ways to reduce your anxiety symptoms, including useful daily tips and mindset-adjusting techniques. These will allow you to feel more in control of your feelings and reactions, and help you on your way to building confidence, self-esteem and positive changes in your life.
Ours is a safe environment
You’ll be able to ask questions freely without judgement. You’re welcome to contribute during discussions or simply sit back, listen and enjoy (you can always email me later with any personal questions).
I’ve presented many similar events in Australia and overseas. Attendees have found the material useful, practical and enjoyable.
Afterwards, I’ll follow up with some useful take-home tools for all attendees.
To join us, please RSVP through Meetup.
CHECK-IN
In alignment with COVID-Safe guidelines, attendees are asked to sign in upon arrival using the ‘Check-in CBR’ app. Seating will be arranged with social distancing in mind.
The Civic Library has a main door and a smaller side-door (around the corner to the right). The smaller side door will be open from 6.20pm.
Please note: The event is limited to 25 people only, so if you indicate that you’ll be attending but cannot make it on the night, I would be grateful if you could please send me a message or remove your RSVP so others may attend in your place.
I look forward to meeting you on Thursday, 17 June 2021 at 6.30pm (AEST).
Richard
