This is a group for persons and their families who suffer from chronic pain, seizure disorders, cancer, auto immune disease, and PTSD that seek support and education for alternative therapies, including medical cannabis. We host support groups, lectures as well as other activities.

No card is needed and there is no charge. We will discuss realistic expectations, products available, modalities of use, risks and benefits, dosing strategies and will answer any questions you may have.

Understanding Medical Cannabis: New patient orientation

Dr William Troutt NMD hosts a practical informative talk about Medical Cannabis. He can answer common questions for you and your family How does it work? how do I use it? Do I have to smoke it? What products are available and dosage. Will it help my pain? What are realistic expectations etc. There will be time to address specific concerns that you may have. Medical professionals are welcome. Dr Troutt would be happy to discuss recent advances in research and case studies. This is a free event every 2nd Saturday of the Month and is a great way to get a better understanding of this botanical medicine in a professional but casual setting.

Harvesting Hope for Pediatric Epilepsy:support group for families

Harvesting Hope for Pediatric Epilepsy is an empowerment group for families who have a child suffering from a seizure disorder. Discussion is productive and varied. We often talk about relationships with medical professionals and relate personal experiences with exceptional or not so exceptional doctors. Successes and failures with new therapies etc. Often times we have a guest speaker. Past speaking topics included: Seizure dog training, minimally invasive laser brain surgeries available at PCH, Cranial manipulation therapy, legal issues around cannabis and your kids. The group is hosted by Jessica Crozier (Emma's mom) and David Grandon, Harvest of Tempe's outreach and Education coordinator. Dr William Troutt NMD will be on hand to discuss and help fine tune dosage regiments and talk about options available and new studies.
