Join us for a compelling session with Peter Schubert, a co-creator in utilizing psychedelics for end-of-life care. This event is a group discussion into how psychedelics can profoundly change our perspective on death, offering peace and acceptance to those nearing life's end.
In the vast expanse of human experience, two profound events frame our existence: the beginning and the end of life. Yet, while we celebrate and meticulously prepare for the arrival of new life, the conclusion of our journey often finds us unprepared, leaving us to navigate the unknown with apprehension and fear.
This special gathering seeks to illuminate the transformative potential of psychedelics in reshaping our approach to one of life's most significant transitions: the end of life.
Facilitator:
Peter Schubert is an analyst by trade, an end-of-life doula by calling, an enthusiastic participant in plant medicine practices, and curious by nature. Peter’s lived in the Willamette Valley in Oregon since ‘69. He was a member of the crew that built and launched Hopewell House in ‘86 in Portland and is a founding board member of, and caregiving volunteer with, the organization that reopened and operates that House now. “Let’s explore how the Psychonaut and the Psychopomp work in the same medium."****************

We warmly invite our Boomer and Gen X friends to this event. Together with a community of Meetup Groups, we'll explore the evolving conversation around psychedelics and psychedelic integration in our later years.
Many have fond memories of youthful explorations, and it's heartening to see the growing recognition of the psychological and spiritual benefits these medicines offer. As we all seek more holistic and natural paths to wellness, these alternatives present a promising avenue.
For those who've journeyed with these medicines, you understand they're not a one-size-fits-all solution. The journey is profound, and having a supportive community is essential. Continual ceremonies without integrating the lessons into our daily lives might not yield the desired change.
It's a beautiful opportunity to embrace our curiosities, let go of apprehensions, and truly connect with our purpose.

This event is intended for our friends who are 60+... Maybe you've heard stories about transformative experiences, or perhaps you're interested in the potential therapeutic benefits of these powerful substances, or maybe you have extensive experience and want to brush up on your journeys.
Whatever your reasons for wanting to explore psychedelics, if you choose to use psychedelics, it's essential to approach them with mindfulness, respect, and practical caution.
If you're planning a psychedelic journey, it's essential to keep in mind that there are three critical phases involved.
The first phase is preparation - it's crucial for your experience. This includes doing research around best practices, understanding how each psychedelic can be different than another psychedelic, and ensuring that you're in the right mindset before embarking on your trip.
The second phase is navigation - this involves creating a safe and supportive environment while under the influence of psychedelics.
The third phase is integration - which occurs after your trip has ended. During this period, you'll need to reflect on what you've learned during your psychedelic experience and how you can apply these insights to your daily life.
Join us as Henry, Co-Founder of Psychedelic Advocacy Network & Patrick Lennon, Ph.D., present and discuss these three phases to ensure your safety and maximize the potential benefits of your experience if you were to embark.
