Details

An evidence-based approach to customer experience.

Consumer engagement has never been more important. With increased competition, shifts in the way we interact and demand for a more engaging experience, what we do is in flux. How do we deliver a compelling experience in this increasingly on-demand culture? This lively presentation will take a deep dive into the creation of the beloved Farm Boy brand from soup to nuts. How did this brand explode from 3 stores to an $800 million sale to grocery giant Sobeys? We will also look at the customer experience design of the new cannabis store Flower Haze. While different in approach they both lean heavily in Evidence-based branding and content.

We look forward to reconnecting with our CapCHI family. Our events this fall will be online. The executive team has been discussing our return to a physical venue—as soon as it is safe and practical to do so. In the meantime, we invite you to drop-by virtually every third Tuesday of the month for some amazing conversations around all things UX and HCI.

After 30 years in the creative industry I can honestly say that I am still inspired, driven and energized. And I LOVE to talk about it to students, at conferences, in-house department, webinars and host workshops. In fact, I had a Top 10 Webinar of 2020 for the RGD! What an honor!

Why am I still so passionate? I have owned two successful agencies that gave me the opportunity to work with brands including: Warner Brothers, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, DC Comics and the Royal Canadian Mint and help build the Farm Boy brand. The Farm Boy brand went on to sell for $800 million. Incredible to be a part of that success!

My work has been Internationally recognized and featured in many publications including Communication Arts, Graphis, Applied Arts and Azure. Also in hard-cover books for Rockport, Graphis and North Light Books.
