Ingenium and Digital: A New Path Forward

Websites, games and apps, and museum floor interactives are just a few of the areas that the digital team at Ingenium – Canada's Museums of Science and Innovation – explore on a daily basis. Join Ryan Dodge and Lauren DiVito as they discuss the corporate shift that is currently happening at their museums, some of the hurdles they're working to overcome, and a special look at the new Digital Innovation Lab, a space for collaborating on innovative, creative digital projects!

As the Chief Digital Officer at Ingenium, Ryan is responsible for the corporation's public facing digital presence across the spectrum of onsite and online experiences. He leads a team of developers, UX, AV and technology specialists in the production of digital products that are aimed at engaging Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast in the pursuit of increasing knowledge around Canadian ingenuity. Ryan has over 15 years of experience in the museum technology sector with stops at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum in the NCR.

As Manager of Museum Technology at Ingenium, Lauren oversees a team of technology specialists who are responsible for the digital interactives and infrastructure across its three national museums. Concurrently, she has been leading the creation and implementation of Ingenium's new Digital Innovation Lab, a collaborative space for exploring innovative digital technologies, accessible design, and UX. With a background in user experience design, biomedical visualization, and a passion for creating more accessible digital experiences, Lauren loves finding creative solutions to problems through a user-centred approach.
