Clean Code 101 and Laravel Telescope @ GLI (Woodstock)

Details
Welcome back to the January CT PHP meetup and our first meetup of the year. This promises to be another great meetup. We are gathering at GLI (in Woodstock) for the first time so be sure to RSVP!
Talk One:
Clean code for all
On average, developers switch jobs every 2-3 years, this, however, comes with "joys" of having to read and try to understand new codebases, which most of it might be written by people who long left the company which might make it a bit challenging to get going on that first pull request.
In this talk we will be talking about how developers can indirectly help one another or their future-selves by writing and maintaining clean understandable code, we will also touch on how to improve on badly written code whenever one comes across it.
About the speaker
Melvin Thoabala - Melvin is a software engineer at superbalist.com,
He works in the checkout and fulfilment team, tasks include implement integrations to various payment methods, integrating with couriers APIs and building internal systems that help in customer support.
Talk Two:
Introducing Laravel Telescope to your Laravel applications
Laravel Telescope is a new debugging tool made by the Laravel creators, first released in October 2018. It supercharges your system debugging capabilities through a simple and fresh UI, providing insight into various system internals like exceptions, logs, cache operations, queued jobs and more. Telescope makes a wonderful companion to your local Laravel development environment. It's well worth the effort of installation, and this talk will be about getting it up and running and an overview of what you get out of the box.
About the speaker
Nikolaos Spyratos - PHP dev at large and bug maker of note.
