In October 2020, Stripe acquired Paystack in what is one of the biggest startup acquisitions to date to come out of Nigeria.

About Khadijah:

Khadijah Abu is the Head of Product Expansion at Paystack, a startup that enables businesses across Africa to accept payments from their customers. She drives the effort to get more of Paystack’s core products into more markets on the continent.

Her 15-year career has been focused on the Fintech and Payments space, working across Operations, Business Process Re-engineering, Strategy, Expansion and Product Management. In that time, she has managed a variety of products and has led the design and implementation of several business automation projects.

She is also the organizer of ProductTank Lagos, a non-profit community of Product Managers, a Trustee with the Open Banking Nigeria Foundation, and volunteers across a variety of advocacy and learning institutions. She’s passionate about helping businesses grow through the efficient use of technology while participating in other ventures promoting education and community development.
