Come join an evening full of learning opportunities. Instead of only one subject, we dedicate this month's meetup to multiple lightning talks.

A lightning talk is 15 minutes long and allows new speakers as well as experienced speakers to share a topic they are passionate about and that will benefit our community.

LIGHTNING TALKS

  1. Why Agile alone will fail: Roman Paeske

Agile’s goal is delivery. It’s not generating insights about the created value for the customer and business. To achieve true business agility, we have to rethink our organisational structures. How? By creating radically outcome-focused working models. Let’s stop building feature factories and start creating value.

  1. What Agilists can learn from Chess Grandmasters : Floris Dafel

Both Agile and chess are simple in theory yet difficult to master in practice. Rules, principles and methods are good guidelines but following them blindly won't make you succeed. Observing, thinking and adapting will. It’s applying the right tools to the right context or experimenting until you get results that will make you win.

There is a lot that the Agile community can learn from chess. Some organisations on their Agile journey often follow Agile Frameworks by the book but miss the essence. It takes time to change from a fixed mindset to a more flexible mindset that adapts to a real work context. I will use the analogy of chess to promote this way of thinking.

  1. ** Resilience and Agility: Felix Stein**

To be agile you must have the ability to adapt quickly if the surrounding conditions change. But what if they change dramatically, let's say due to a global pandemic? You will need resilience, the power to stand up even if you have been hit hard. Let me introduce this concept to you.

I will introduce five key dimensions of resilience. Maybe an inspiration to check how resilient your company is?
