Cool Insuring Arena
Who's ready for a fun night of hard-hitting hockey excitement? WE ARE, especially when it's between the two CURRENT TOP Northern ECHL Teams in the Division! We are talking some seriously fun hockey here - the Adirondack Thunder vs. their main rivals the Newfoundland Growlers! Join us on Friday, March 15th to watch the Adirondack Thunder take on the Newfoundland Growlers at the COOL Insuring Arena in Glens Falls in our own PRIVATE CDJW Ice Box! The Ice Box is located center ice and is right on the ice itself so we are up-close and personal to all the hard-hitting fun! Our Ice-Box area features THE BEST view in the arena, has tables, seating, plenty of space to mingle with your fellow CDJW members and we will have our own private waitress available to take our drink and food orders so we won't miss any of the game! If you have never been to and Adirondack Thunder game before, you are in for a treat! You don't need to have a vast knowledge of hockey to enjoy the game. A few of us attending have season tickets and would be happy to answer any questions you have during the night. Not only is the hockey fast moving and fun, the whole atmosphere of the arena is alive all night with music, on-ice entertainment between periods, food vendors, hecklers in the crowd and you can also meet Gunnar, the Thunder's Mascot! The cost to attend is $37 per person and well worth it! Having the ability to stretch out, mingle, relax and have THE BEST SEATS in the entire arena is worth every penny for a fun night out! IMPORTANT DETAILS: Tickets must be purchased through meet-up. Parking Is Available All Around The Arena. Some parking is free, most is at a cost of $5 per vehicle. Tickets will be available for pick-up the night of the game at the COOL Insuring Arena's WILL CALL window located at the main entrance. Tickets will be available for pick-up beginning at 6:00 pm and the person who ordered tickets must show their DRIVERS LICENCE at the WILL CALL window to pick up their tickets. The ICE BOX is located at the bottom of SECTION B. The puck drops at 7:00 PM sharp! PLEASE DRESS WARM. Since we are right at ice level - the box tends to be cooler than other locations in the arena. It's better to take off layers if needed! :) We hope you can join us for a super fun night of hockey excitement, mixing and mingling and of course.....Jeep talk with your fellow CDJW members!
This meetup is a yearly favorite among many of our senior CDJW members! Also, Jumpin' Jacks was where the very first CDJW meet-up was conceived with a whopping 3 members in attendance. :) This event is very near and dear to our hearts and we would love to have all members come out and enjoy some great food and/or ice cream and spend time with your fellow members! Because parking can be bit of a bear on opening day, there are two options to meet-up: Option 1: Meet and look for the CDJW Jeeps in the Glenville Walmart Parking lot at 6:00 pm and then convoy over as a group to Jumpin Jacks. GPS address: 200 Dutch Meadows Ln - Glenville, NY Option 2: Drive over to Jumpin' Jacks to meet everyone at 6:30 pm on your own. GPS address is: 5 Schonowee Ave, Scotia, NY If you have never been to Jumpin' Jacks before, this 100% family friendly drive-in has been a staple in the Scotia community for 65 years serving up all kinds of drive-in classics such as burgers, hot dogs, fish fries, seafood, chicken, onion-rings, fries, beverages and of course ICE CREAM! Please Note: Jumpin' Jacks is located along the scenic Mohawk River, so please watch the weather and dress warm. Mark your calendars, look forward to Spring, and come join your fellow members for great food, ice cream, Jeep talk and fun!
