Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society recycling/fundraising project

We now help the shelter with their ongoing fundraiser....bottle recycling at their animal shelter in Menands every third Sat morning of the month! Weather permitting, of course.

While we will not be interacting directly with the animals, we are lucky enough to be able to visit them inside or watch them getting taken for their walks.

This is an outdoor activity so dress accordingly. Gloves will be provided.

We also use this opportunity to have one or two of our volunteers sit and pull of the pull tabs for OUR ongoing commitment to donate flip tops to Ronald McDonald House.

They do not normally have other group volunteer opportunities but they are always looking for individuals who can commit to a regular time slot. Dog and cat care volunteers commit to a regular 3 hour weekly shift for a minimum of three months. They rely on these kind of volunteers to support staff with daily animal care so that is why it's more of a commitment.
