In Conversation: Ruth E. Carter Black Panther Costume Designer

We invite you to come take a seat on Tuesday 13th February for a very special event as we speak with the incomparable Ruth E. Carter; costume designer for the Black Panther film via Skype.

Ruth is an Oscar nominated costume designer with a 30-year career and 40 film credits to her name. She has costumed some of the best-loved films in popular culture including Malcolm X, Do the Right Thing, The Butler and Amistad amongst many others.

We will be speaking to her about how she started in the industry and the inspiration she has drawn on to make costumes for Black Panther.

Then to add to the excitement the discussion and Q&A will be an opportunity to watch the Black Panther film where we can see a stellar cast of talents including Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan , Lupita Nyong'o , Danai Gurira , Sterling K. Brown , Daniel Kaluuya , Letitia Wright , John Kani , Angela Bassett , Forest Whitaker costumed and in action!
