Join CCV this Sunday 4th December at Pontygwaith Nature Reserve, Quakers Yard for bracken bashing and pond creation! You are likely to get a bit muddy on this task depending the weather so just remember to bring suitable footwear and clothing. Don't worry if you do not own a pair of wellies, we can provide them as well as waders and waterproofs just in case! Hopefully we won't need them!
NOTE! Do phone/text/email the leader in advance so we can make sure there's enough space as not all of our members are on Meet Up. Julia Mansbridge is leading this week's task and she is taking bookings now.
PLEASE only RSVP if you are certain you can attend and let the leader know if you cannot make it for whatever reason as seats on the bus are limited and you would be denying another volunteer from coming out on task!
If you are already a member you can access the programme through our website and find out more information about who we are and what we do:
We cannot confirm a definite finishing time as it usually depends on the type of task, location and weather. We usually finish between 3:30-4pm and aim to be back at the museum for 5pm the latest.
No experience necessary. Come in appropriate clothes for working outside, wear sturdy boots and bring a packed lunch. We'll provide hot drinks and biscuits.
We meet at the Cardiff Museum at 9am or please let Julia know if you would prefer to meet us at Forest Farm, Whitchurch, whichever is easier for you.
Hope to see you soon!
