Career Transitions Forum (CTF) serves professionals seeking employment in the Triangle and surrounds. Wake Tech HRD assumed leadership of this highly regarded program from a successful career transition support group - founded in 2008 - that had served thousands of job-seeking participants. Wake Tech has managed the program for more than 5 years.
The program offers relevant presentations by subject matter experts (SMEs) in Human Resources, Recruiting & Staffing, and Career Coaching to name a few. This is also a forum for networking opportunities and free, confidential counseling.
Our mission is to help unemployed and underemployed professionals develop and use the job search skills necessary to succeed in today’s complex and competitive marketplace.
CTF meets virtually from 9:30-11:30 a.m. ET on Thursdays. The group is moderated by Deb Oronzio, a career coach, outplacement counselor and former WakeTech instructor with a rich corporate background in marketing within the medical diagnostics and biotechnology industries.
CTF is part of Wake Tech’s Human Resource Development (HRD) department, which provides fee-waived job skills training for professionals who are unemployed, underemployed or facing a pending layoff.
