Carlow Town Loop Walk & coffee

Link visible for attendees

I am planning a carlow town loop walk taking in some wonderful historical sites along with some new improvements of late. Followed by coffee at one of the local coffee shops. Further details to follow. So watch this space.

Will suggest a local meet point at Carlow Library, corner of Tullow street & College street.

Walk in the woods

Needs a location

Come for a walk & chat at FOREST PARK- Carlow. Please note this is forest park & not Teasgasc oak park. There are paths in the woods like shown. Depending on numbers we may need to split into several groups. Forest oaks / oaks park turning is signposted from the N80. Where the road splits take the right fork to Forest Park (brown signpost) not the left fork to Teasgasc oak park.
If the coffee van's there we may even stay for a cuppa and more chat.
NOTE: path is rotten wood in places, and the wires holding the boards is lifted in places. Walk is flat but watch your footing.

Rathwood woodland walk

Needs a location

Mixture of routes: trails, (mud / roots / grass) and hard surfaces (red route), with ponds, geese, some deer. We'll decide the route on the day depending on the weather & how far we want to walk hence end time is approximate. Please wear appropriate clothing & footwear.
