Carnivores Anonymous welcomes anyone who wants to improve their health and wellness by adopting a plant-based diet. You don't need to be vegan, just willing to explore the possibilities opened up by reducing or ending consumption of animal products. We find support and strategies together via monthly meetings and other fun events. We also have great speakers come to share their inspiring vegan stories!
Carnivores Anonymous is a free, psychiatrist-developed step-by-step program to maintain optimum health, lose weight, reverse chronic illness, and tackle food addiction in addition to making the world a kinder, more compassionate place. We look forward to meeting you!
Please join us for our monthly meeting! This month's speaker is Ivonne Larson. Ivonne, former principal of South Tahoe High School and former Assistant Superintendent of LTUSD, has a personal story to share about how a plant-based diet helped her lose 80 pounds and helped her husband overcome a serious health crisis. Ivonne also co-teaches Whole Foods Plant Based cooking classes at Lake Tahoe Community College.
At this meeting, we will also discuss the future direction for this group. If we have as many attendees as our first couple of meetings, we will experiment with breaking up into smaller groups in order to facilitate more sharing and make better use of time.
As always, Carnivores Anonymous is for ANYONE interested in learning more about the benefits of a plant-based diet. It doesn't matter whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or an omnivore. All are welcome! And please, bring a friend!
