Health care expenditures are rising dramatically. Since 2014, life expectancy in the U.S. has dropped every year. 70% of Americans are overweight and 40% are obese. Fatty Liver Disease has risen over 500% in the past 30 years due to food choices. Cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer are crushing the U.S. population & GDP (Gross Domestic Product). The question is WHY? Can anything be done to correct the CRISIS?

Dr. Matossian is a board-certified gastroenterologist currently providing care at the VA Sierra Nevada Hospital in Reno. Previously, he served Lake and Mendocino counties since 1988. A graduate of Wesleyan University, he attended medical school at Penn State University. He finished his medical residency at Georgetown University and did his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Matossian ran the most cost-effective private colonoscopy center in northern California. He opened the first rural Ukiah clinic offering medical support to liver transplant patients in conjunction with California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
Dr. Matossian is passionate about patient advocacy. He is also passionate about the power of a whole food, plant-based diet. We are excited to have him as our guest!
