• What we'll do Happy New Year! The first AfroPop! Nation event of 2018 is back in Charlotte (Morehead Tavern) Saturday, January 20th! Music curated by DJ & Percussionist The Dynamic DJ Kato (Ifeanyi Ibeto) + DJ Steel Wheel! This edition we're bringing back our favorite soca dance queen Keisha Bridgeman of Socafitusa/Socacise to provide dance instruction to start off the festivities from 9pm - 10pm! Kizomba Alegria Charlotte Dance is providing Kizomba related instruction & dance upstairs as usual (All activities are included in the cost of entry). Afrobeats, AfroHouse, Soca, Afro-Latin House, DanceHall, Afro-Trap, and so much more, paired with turntablism, live African drums and other cool ish... WE DO WELCOME crowd participation! Doors open 9pm, goes until 2am; General Admission is $10. Price will go up AFTER 12pm!!! We also have a special $5 ticket available online in LIMITED QUANTITIES! Get them while the last!
