Learn photography, meet other photographers, find about local photo spots - we have both indoor meetings for photo critiques, and topic specific presentations. If members express enough interest field trips, workshops, and social events may be arranged.
Did you try saying that 3 times fast? LOL Any smart phone these days has a fairly decent camera. Grab it and let's go! Every age, artistic and experience level not only welcome but encouraged!! This is a fantastic way to introduce the young ones to great ways to create. Whether you come alone or a family of a dozen, there will be room for all. *We'll be outdoors, masked up when close up and can spread out to stay safe.*
We'll find interesting patterns, shapes, and hopefully, Spring Flora. Water reflections/patterns, bark lines, etc make for fun images to play with. The above image is a picture of a Trillium, taken last week with my iPhone XS. The next step was using the App 'Prisma', which I use the basic, free version. Soooo you'll need to have photo editing app already downloaded on your phone. Here's a link to more info: https://iphonephotographyschool.com/best-photo-editing-apps/ I'll walk you through capturing images that work well in such apps then assist with editing using the filters and effects to make your own art that is frameworthy.
Meeting at Scout Lake will afford a chance afterward to hike, lounge in the sun, picnic or all of the above--if the weather plays nice. Personally, I'll take off hiking and you're welcome to join me!
Side note-I am a member of the Cascade Camera Club. This year we are celebrating 75 years as a group of enthusiasts that support each other in our creating beautiful images. For more info: https://cascadecameraclub.com/
