Why would you like to join CC?

Was a member previously, before leaving area with work for a while.

Who are your two favourite authors and why do you like them?

Difficult question... One would probably have to be Charles Dickens, I love the classics and the sheer scale and scope of his work is hard to equal. I also enjoy Charlotte Bronte - Jane Eyre is my all time favourite novel, but Vilette and Shirley are also notable in their own way. I do read outside of the classics as well though!

Please suggest three novels or short story collections you would like to discuss in future meetings. Include the author's name.

Out of Africa by Baroness Karen von Blixen-Finecke. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Ann Bronte. Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada.
