What we’re about
This group is dedicated to those individuals who are single 50 years old or older. This is not a dating site. Our basic goal is to join forces to get out and about, meet new friends, attend social events, share our lives and hopefully make an impact on our community. The concept that created this group was to provide a safe, fun, welcoming atmosphere for singles wanting to spend time with others and make friends without the agenda of dating.
Our vision is to create a network of people who care about each other. We are positive adults who love to socialize, interact and positively impact others, and are seeking like-minded individuals to join us. If you have any ideas for an event, the organizers welcome them. a sampling of our events include live music at local venues, hiking, book club, dinner, beach walks, etc.
Why is it so important to be social? MORE people live alone now than at any other time in history. Life is a journey so why not make the journey fun and exciting. Get out of the house, make new friends, go to new places, laugh, dance, and let loose. We are social beings, and this is the place to get social. Come on out and meet some new friends! You may be surprised how easy it is to make new friends that share your goals and values.
We do ask for a small contribution of $5.00 annually. These dues cover the cost of the website, support our team and our members for special events, and occasionally provide donations as deemed viable by the organizing committee.
