Not to be confused with our C3M Ice Cream Run, this is truly epic and is a run cross country every other year in the sole pursuit of incredible ice cream! If you recall, this was the run where in the past you have ice cream stops for breakfast lunch, dinner, and several snacks (of ice cream of course) in between! In past years the run has been from Staunton, Virginia to Bar Harbor, Maine. This year they will have the same starting location in Virginia but head Northwest to meetup with MINI on the Mack 2019 for their Guinness World Record Attempt. This year's schedule is: Day 0, Saturday July 27: Staunton, VA Day 1, Sunday July 28: Staunton, VA - Charleston, WV Stopping at the New River Gorge Bridge, a third-tallest bridge in the US near Fayetteville, WV. Day 2, Monday July 29: Charleston, WV - Columbus, OH Stopping to see the Big Muskie's bucket, the world largest earth moving machine near McConnelsville, OH. Our next stop is at The Wilds. This will be an Open-Air Safari Tour which runs about 2 and 1/2 hrs long. Day 3, Tuesday July 30: Columbus, OH - Toledo, OH Stopping to visit US Air Force Museum. We will spend about 3 hr including lunch there. Tonight dinner is on your own or you can walk down the street to watch a minor league baseball game between Toledo Mudhens VS Louisville Bats. Game time is at 7:05pm. Day 4, Wednesday July 31: Toledo, OH - South Haven, MI Stopping at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. We will spend about 3 hr including lunch there. Day 5, Thursday August 1: South Haven, MI - Mackinaw City/St Ignace, MI Arrive in Mackinaw City in the evening. Friday August 2 is open to explore the city and Mackinaw Island before the world record attempt on Saturday. Saturday, August 3: The record number of Minis in a parade stands at 1,451. Two years ago, the attempt yielded a respectable 1300+ not enough to break the record. This year they are going all out with MINI of Grand Rapids support and getting the word out early to see if they can break the record. All are invited to join this rally for the whole ride or just for a day or two as they hit the ice cream hot spots in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Michigan on their way to Minis on the Mack event August 3rd. There is a limit of 20 Minis for this run, if you are interested, please post your interest in a comment below. I will email you the details. Jak Yaemsiri is leading this run, I will put you in touch with him for registration. There is a nominal fee of $10 for registration and of course event t-shirts are available for participants.
August 3rd, 2019 join us in breaking a world record. This will be our third attempt at breaking the record for the longest Mini parade in the world up in Michigan. We keep getting close, but need your support! Stay tuned for more information! https://www.minionthemack.com/
