Description
This talk is for any developer who is slightly ashamed of the code coverage of their unit tests. If you're looking to write your very first unit test, or improve your unit testing workflow this talk if for you. Once you get past step 0, you'll be on your way to catching the "TDD bug" and you'll never look at software development the same way again. In my experience, many developers aspire to do TDD. For developers with deadlines and a mature code-base, "full" TDD is the deep and of the swimming pool. The hardest part about TDD is just getting started. The trick is to start at the shallow end of the pool.In this talk, I'll demonstrate the techniques I've used to help development teams to foster better TDD hygiene.
Bonus material: I'll be using IntelliJ throughout the presentation. IntelliJ has many useful features which promote TDD. I hope to demonstrate a few features which will help you develop with even more pleasure.
