We are an open group of professionals -- freelancers, entrepreneurs, artists -- who occasionally like to spice up our usual work routines with a new 'office' and new 'colleagues'. We meet up regularly without a set agenda to work on our own projects. We like to chat and foster new connections to the extent that our individual workloads allow.

We meet at different locations in the area once per month, in the second week of each month. The day for each month (Tuesday through Friday) rotates to accommodate people with availability that varies by weekday. So if we meet Tuesday this month, then it will be Wednesday the next month, Thursday the month after, and Friday the month after that. Watch this group for event announcements!

What's this about jelly? Sandwich making is actually not necessary. "Jelly" is the name coined for a casual coworking event. It's taken place in hundreds of cities where people have come together (in a person's home, a coffee shop, or an office) to work for the day. The host/venue provides chairs and sofas, and wireless internet. The attendees bring a laptop (or whatever they need to get their work done) and a friendly disposition. It's a great opportunity to have interesting people to talk to, collaborate with, and bounce ideas off of. Read more about the concept at http://workatjelly.com/ .

Everyone is free to host Jellies. Maybe you know a local cafe that would enjoy having some thirsty freelancers descend upon them. Or maybe you have a big dining room and would like some company working from home. We're always looking for new venues so, if you have an idea for one, please let us know!
