Do you love playing entertaining board games? We play some old favorites and some newer, more innovative, games. No matter what your game is, let's play! If you are a first-timer at one of our meetup events, please introduce yourself. Ask to join an interesting game, or invite some members to play one of yours. Don't be afraid to jump in on a new game you haven't played before. We are always glad to teach new games to members.
Be aware. If you show up late to an event you might have to wait to play.

Emrys' Austin Friday Game Night
Emrys' Place, Northeast Austin, TX, Austin, TX, USI host a weekly boardgame night at my apartment in Northeast-of-Central Austin every Friday night! It's typically a smaller game night, but I have space for 3-4 tables. What makes my game night different is:
- We usually play a wide variety of mediumweight to gateway+ boardgames, focusing on respecting everyone's stated time limitations and ETA, typically no longer than 3-4 hours per game. On occasion we might play a longer heavier game if everyone attending has time for that.
- Whoever has picked a game the LEAST picks the next game (by pitching 3 games and everyone else picks from those), and if you bring your own games you break ties (and the counts reset every 4 months).
- This is a dry event! That means no alcohol allowed at all!
- My top priority is to be a host, so when you arrive you can expect me to pause what I'm doing to get you squared away at a table, and for me to be available for questions.
- It's drop-in / drop-out as needed, just finish any game you start. We try to respect your ETA and have a seat ready when you say you're arriving.
- You can bring up to 3 plus-ones (whom you're responsible for).
- I provide snacks and un/sweet tea, but people sometimes have food delivered.
REQUIREMENTS: You must have played a game with me before (and I must remember it, but I log my games so that shouldn't be hard), and you must have your full set of COVID vaccines (this part also goes for any guests you bring). We won't ask to see your vaccine/booster card, a verbal promise of your status is enough.
