What we’re about

Central Texas Families for Safe Streets confronts the epidemic of traffic violence through advocacy and support. These are preventable crashes—not "accidents"—and the reckless driving and dangerous street design that cause these crashes have proven solutions.

We welcome those who have been injured or lost loved ones in crashes to check out the group and get engaged. Together, we transform our grief by telling our personal stories of trauma and loss to raise awareness and bring about policy and legislative change.

We believe no one should have to endure the physical, emotional and spiritual trauma of traffic violence alone. We are building up CTFSS support services to include monthly support communities, peer-mentoring, logistical assistance and a detailed resource guide.

In partnership with Farm&City, Central Texas Families for Safe Streets was founded in 2018. With chapters forming across the country, we are part of a national movement to end this epidemic.

If you have not been injured or lost loved ones in crash, we would like to welcome you to get engaged with our partner organization, Vision Zero ATX. However, membership in CTFSS is restricted.
