Our goal is not the largest membership but an ACTIVE one. Please request to join if you are interested in PARTCIPATING in our trips. Come out and experience the WONDERS of our waterways with us.
Our Mission Statement is about forming small groups for paddling trips. CFK is for people who want to build camaraderie to enjoy day trips, overnight basecamp and river camp trips. Our main goal is to have a group of responsible paddlers for fellowship and camaraderie. We aim to enjoy nature, have fun, help each other, be outdoors and watch out for one another.
CFK is not looking for dues-paying members, we're looking for members who actually want to come out on our adventures on a regular basis. We're not interested in collecting dues just members who sign up for trips.
We are a group of active recreational kayakers who enjoy being on the water with other upbeat positive people. We appreciate Florida's beautiful nature, springs, wildlife and excellent waterways. All paddling enthusiasts are welcome from young to "young at heart." Members should have their own kayak or access to one, as we do not rent kayaks. For some trips, you should be able to transport two boats 13' or longer. Attending a trip with a shuttle means participating in the shuttle. If you have limitations, consult with the event host before signing up.
We encourage everyone to get outside, burn some calories, soak up some rays and see our glorious creeks, rivers, springs and lagoons. We do single weekday trips, single weekend day trips, weekend trips, multi-day trips with base camping at our great State Parks, National Recreation Areas and State Forests.
Occasionally, we do multiday/weekend river camping trips. We also do occasional full-moon night paddles. Other trips will be to see manatees and or dolphins. Many of our trips are established paddle routes that we do on a regular rotation.
It is understood that State of Florida rules related to life vests and whistles will be followed.
There are no fees or dues in CFK. Members will pay their own launching/parking or camping fees to municipalities or outfitters, when applicable. We are a loosely organized group of people getting together to enjoy kayaking, nature and camaraderie.

By participating in a Central Florida Kayakers event/activity, I and my guests Agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY Meet up.com, the Central Florida Kayakers Meetup Group, its organizers, co-organizers, assistant organizers and event hosts, as well as their families from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries, personal or property, losses, costs, damages, disability or death resulting from participating in or travelling to or from the activity. It is further understood and agreed that this ACCIDENT WAIVER and RELEASE OF LIABILITY is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. This ACCIDENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY shall be construed broadly and applied to the maximum extent permissible by law. Participation in any Central Florida Kayakers event implies that you have read, understand, and agree with, the group’s entire "About Us" page. Per the Electronic Records and Signatures in Commerce Act, Public Law 106-229, by joining this group, you agree to all the terms listed.

I HEREBY WAIVE AND RELEASE, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Central Florida Kayakers and it’s agents, employees, officers, directors, affiliates, successors and assigns, of and from any and all claims, demands, debts, contracts, expenses, causes of action, lawsuits, damages and liabilities, of every kind and nature, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, that I ever had or may have, arising from or in any way related to my participation in any of the events or activities conducted by, on the premises of, or for the benefit of, Central Florida Kayakers, provided that this waiver of liability does not apply to any acts of gross negligence, or intentional, willful or wanton misconduct.
I understand that the activities in which I will participate are inherently dangerous and may cause serious or grievous injuries, including bodily injury, damage to personal property and/or death. On behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns and next of kin, I waive all claims for damages, injuries and death sustained to me or my property, that I may have against the aforementioned released party to such activity.
I certify that I am physically fit to participate in any event and that I have not been told or notified differently by a Physician or qualified medical professional.
By this Waiver, I assume any risk, and take full responsibility and waive any claims of personal injury, death or damage to personal property associated with Central Florida Kayakers including but not limited to hiking, backpacking, canoeing or kayaking and/or practicing and/or engaging and competing in any races or competitions or other activities and using the premises and facilities and equipment in any manner, form or fashion.
This WAIVER AND RELEASE contains the entire agreement between the parties, and supersedes any prior written or oral agreements between them concerning the subject matter of this WAIVER AND RELEASE. The provisions of this WAIVER AND RELEASE may be waived, altered, amended or repealed, in whole or in part, only upon the prior written consent of all parties.
The provision of this WAIVER AND RELEASE will continue in full force and effect even after the termination of the activities conducted by, on the premises of, or for the benefit of Central Florida Kayakers, whether by agreement, by operation of law, or otherwise.
I have read, understand and fully agree to the terms of this WAIVER AND RELEASE. I understand and confirm that by participating in any Central Florida Kayakers event I have given up considerable future legal rights. I have confirmed to this Agreement freely, voluntarily, under no duress or threat of duress, without inducement, promise or guarantee being communicated to me. My participating in any Central Florida Kayakers event is proof of my intention to execute a complete and unconditional WAIVER AND RELEASE of all liability to the full extent of the law. I am 18 year of age or older and mentally competent to enter into this waiver.
We humbly feel it's a privilege to be a member of a no-fee friendly fun active kayaking group such as CFK. Members who have not attended any trips over a long period of time may be removed from membership in CFK. Any member that shows up to an event that has not RSVP'd shall be removed from group.
