There have been a few questions throughout the day in regards to the contest and the categories. I have created categories that are very location independent. So you don't have to go to any specific place to take any specific pictures. It's more about technique and composition than it is specific location / scene. Links for naming rules, categories, and uploads are all below.

The above URL will take you to the upload page. From here, using the files as prepared according to the instructions above, participants can upload their images for consideration in the contest. Images that are not named according to the guidelines will not be considered. Images in the folder prior to 10:00 p.m. on September 5th will be deleted, and images not in the folder by 11:00 p.m. on September 5th will not be considered during the judging process.

This is the local version of the Amazing Race!
This two day, weekend event, will provide a fun, fast paced, shooting challenge for all that are up to it. Each participant will receive an assignment sheet, that summarizes the requirements for 12 thematic images. The ideal goal, capturing each of the 12 assignments in a 12 hour period.
Entries will be scored for each assignment category, with a first, second, and third place in each category. Cumulative category scores will determine and overall first, second, and third place winner for the 12 X 12 Columbus Photography Marathon as a whole.
Additionally across all categories, a first, second, and third place image will be selected.
Specific details will be released as we get closer to the event dates, but put this on your calendar now! It will prove to be the photographic event of the year for Columbus, OH!!!!!
