Pasture Walk with Gene Logsdon and David Kline

Pasture Walk with Gene Logsdon and David Kline

Details

Note: This is a third party event hosted by the Stratford Ecological Center. Suggested donation is $20 and pre-registration recommended. I contacted someone at the center and they told me that although they will accept walk-ins at this event, they would appreciate pre-registration so they have an idea of how many will be attending. You can register by calling the center at (740) 363-2548 (RSVPing on this page will not register you).

Join award winning authors and farmers Gene Logsdon and David Kline as they lead us into Stratford’s pastures to discuss rotational grazing, pasture management, manure management and conservation practices. Grazing livestock has had many benefits on the farm. Pasturing reduces input and labor cost while improving livestock health and longevity. As good stewards of the land, pasturing reduces soil erosion and manure runoff. Whether you are a farmer or just interested in eating a more sustainable meal this opportunity should not be missed.
