Astrology-A-Go Go

Central Valley Pride Center

Astrology A Go Go is a social gathering for those interested in astrology – the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world. Whether you have your star map hanging in your room or if you just enjoy your daily horoscope, join us for discussion, shared resources, and new perspectives! Some light refreshments will be available. Feel free to bring any drinks or snacks you would like to share.

Radical Fatties

Central Valley Pride Center

Radical Fatties is a gathering for the fat community in the Central Valley. Let’s come together and share our experiences, learn tools to break down twisted beauty/health standards, and empower each other to take action! This group is open to LGBTQ+ and allies. This group is 18yrs+, but if you know a youth who would like support, please contact Central Valley Pride Center for more resources.

Book Club

Central Valley Pride Center

Come join us for CVPC Book Club! A laid back social gathering to talk about books and life. Try your best to read the book for that month, but all with interest are welcomed. We are reading “Carry On” by Rainbow Rowell for September. October’s book will be “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic” by Alison Bechdel. November’s book will be “Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds” by Adrienne Maree Brown

Tarot & Tea

Central Valley Pride Center

Lets get a little witchy before Halloween! Join CVPC for one of our favorite social groups. Bring your tarot cards, metaphysical tools, and your favorite tea mug. We welcome those with a vague interest in tarot and those with years of experience reading to come together for discussion, readings, and acceptance. Tea and light snacks are provided. We invite you to bring your favorite drink or snack to share (or for your personal enjoyment.) Since it is All Hallow’s Eve eve, feel free to bring any costumes you like that are culturally appropriate.
