This group is for people of all ages who want to feel confident on the dance floor in social situations. We have been introducing complete beginners to the world of partner dancing in Brisbane since 1991 because we make learning to dance fun, easy and relaxed.
Ceroc dancing also referred to as 'Modern Jive', is a fusion of Salsa, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Tango and Jive. We dance to a wide variety of music including hits from the top 40. An evening at Ceroc is a great way to meet people, have fun and keep fit all whilst learning to dance. Join us every Thursday evening or a few times a year. Whether you come along on your own or bring a partner, we will endeavour to make you feel very welcome. At our club, it's so easy to meet everyone because every few minutes, during the class, the instructors guide you to 'rotate by one' to a new dance partner. Another benefit of this structure is that it speeds up your progress. From your very first night, you will be dancing with more experienced dancers which helps you to feel more confident with the moves.
Belonging to ‘Ceroc Club Brisbane’ makes you part of the biggest dance club in the world with hundreds of classes across the globe. Imagine meeting up with other Ceroc dancers when you travel within Australia or overseas.
Along with weekly Thursday night classes, Ceroc Club Brisbane hosts a variety of awesome social events on weekends. We also offer private lessons for those who prefer some individual tuition.
We are a non-profit organisation that has thrived for 29 years. We aim to teach and promote Modern Jive Dancing within a framework of friendship and social inclusion.
