What we’re about
The Champaign Ski and Adventure Club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to making the joys of outdoor adventure available year-round to those of us living in Central Illinois. The Club is open to all individuals and families who enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, kayaking, canoeing, camping and group adventure travel to distant lands. Seasonal activities include skiing in winter, kayaking and biking in spring, motorboat and farm parties in summer, and golf outings and camping in fall. The Club's activities encompass all age levels. If you like outdoor adventure, this club is for you!
While participation in many Club activities is open to the general public, paid membership is required for certain other events, e.g., ski trips and house parties. See the Club's online membership application form if you are interested in becoming a paid member.

Join Champaign Ski and Adventure Club members and others at Savanna, Illinois, for a weekend of bicycling and other adventures on 26-28 April!
Participants are encouraged to arrive at Savanna on Friday, April 26. Chuck will lead a bicycle ride on Saturday morning, April 27, on a segment of the Great River Trail, a 60-mile bicycle-pedestrian trail from Savanna to Rock Island. The ride will begin at Savanna. Participants can make their ride shorter or longer than the organized ride by choosing their own destination on the trail before turning back to Savanna.
For those that don't want to bicycle, many other activities are possible such as canoeing and kayaking, fishing, hiking at the Mississippi Palisades State Park, visiting local wineries, shopping and dining at Savanna and nearby Galena, and more.
Limited, affordable lodging has been reserved for Club members at Hawg Dogs, a bar and restaurant at Savanna, Illinois. $40 per night per room above the bar. One room has three beds. Other rooms have two beds. Also, $350 per night for a 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom house behind the bar. Send an email message to cskiclub@gmail.com to request a reservation for Hawg Dogs lodging.
Après-bicycle at Hawg Dogs, Savanna, IL, on Saturday night includes live music by the Stefan Hillesheim Band, a Chicago-based blues band.
