What we’re about
The aim of the user group is to build a community of interest around data science to foster learning, collaboration, and networking. The group will serve both students and professionals to bridge the gap between the analytical sciences and practical applications of industry.
Anyone is invited and included, from undergraduate students (or younger!) to seasoned professionals. There is no requirement for admission, only an interest in learning more about data science.

For our May meetup, we will be diving into the topic of ethics for data science. We'll look at the data science process -- including data management, feature engineering, and model building -- to understand the various considerations for ethics in each phase. Then we'll review recent tech innovations as case studies with a perspective of ethics.
If you are planning to attend and would like to eat lunch, please fill out this form (link) by Thursday, May 2nd @ noon so we can have an accurate headcount for food.
