Want to learn more about Buddhism? Interested in meditation? Join our Sunday Meditation, taught by Geshe Tharchin, and stay for our community lunch A popular public teaching followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch. The meditation class encompasses religious and non religious methods to calm the mind and is suitable for everybody interested in meditation and improving the mind. Breathing meditation techniques are explored and discussion on how we can improve our mind and relationships. Geshela has studied Buddhist philosophy for more than 20 years and has extensive meditation experience. He has a profound knowledge of both meditation and study and coupled with his very warm and engaging teaching style makes him a very popular and enjoyable teacher. There is a delicious community lunch at the Centre following the class, a great way to enjoy your Sunday and meet new people. “This is a group for anyone interested in transforming their hearts and minds by listening, reflecting, meditating, practicing and actualizing the buddhist path. Chandrakirti Centre is based in Upper Moutere, 30min from Nelson, and we inspired by an attitude of universal responsibility and service, we are committed to creating harmonious environments and helping all beings develop their full potential of infinite wisdom and compassion. We provide a range of courses from beginner’s meditation and introductory talks to intermediate and advanced philosophical studies. Teachings are complemented by regular group practice sessions, solo retreats and social activities. We have a serene and beautiful meditation hall, open to anyone who would like to come and meditate or sit quietly in reflection. We also offer a peaceful environment with beautiful gardens, a small shop, library and a community of practitioners"
