Chantilly Co-ed Soccer

Welcome to the Chantilly Co-ed Soccer Group!

We play friendly pickup soccer on an outdoor turf field with pop-up goals three times a week, with the exact days depending on the permit schedule & field availability. Each game lasts about 2 hours. We welcome all experienced soccer players.

Our mission is to "provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for everyone during our soccer games."

Our core values are the following:

• Safety: We put others’ safety first. Check on the person if they fall to the ground or are injured. Then, provide assistance if needed. Studded cleats are prohibited in our games. Turf shoes with soft bottoms recommended. Anyone who commits physical violence or engages in an altercation will be banned permanently. Intentional fouls and malicious acts are prohibited. No slide tackle, using elbows or MMA moves on the field.
• Inclusivity: Welcoming all experienced players of backgrounds and identities who bring a spirit of good competition.
• Accountability: Being responsible for your RSVPs, showing up on time, and playing until the end of the game. Chase the ball when you kick it out of bounds. Notify event organizers or the group in advance if you run late or must leave early for any reason.
• Teamwork: Willingness to pass the ball and connect with others. Have ears to listen to your teammate’s calls, play fairly and win together as a team.
• Sportsmanship: Prioritizing fair play, respect, and character over winning at all costs.
• Collectivism: Prioritizing the needs, harmony, and goals of the whole group over individual desires or personal recognition.

Game Rules:
- We put others' safety first.
- No slide tackle, using elbows or MMA moves on the field.
- 🚫 Studded cleats are prohibited. Turf shoes with soft bottoms recommended to avoid severe injuries
- Every game, bring a WHITE 👕 and a DARK COLOR shirt 🎽 to help us split teams. Do NOT wear a GREY shirt or white striped shirt to our game as it may confuse everyone of which side you are on during the game.
- If you are on the Going list and have not arrived within 15 minutes of the game's start time, and you did not provide advance notice on the game page, we will assume that you are not attending. At that point, your spot may be given to a waitlisted player who showed up on time. Please leave a note on the game page if you expect to be late more than 15 minutes.
- The game gate will be CLOSED 🚪 after 30 minutes in. It is to keep both teams balanced and continue the game flow.
- If you run late or must leave early for any reason, please notify the group in advance so that the game hosts can expect who else may come late and coordinate selecting players and balancing them out. Generally speaking, we do not tolerate the mindset that it is okay being late to our game. Please remember your action can impact the whole group one or the other.
- Please allow organizer/game hosts to serve as a referee and make the final call when fouls or out of bounds happen. We may also need to step in to resolve any issues between players. We are here to promote a safe, protected, and fun environment for everyone during our games.
- We use a yellow/red card 🟨🟥 for fouls. If anyone receives two yellow or one red, he or she will be placed immediately into a goalie position for 20 minutes. Again, this is to warn those who foul and protect all players from injuries during the game.
- If we have less than a total of 10 people signed up, the game host will make a call whether to continue or cancel the game at least an hour before the game. Consistent with the group rule, please update your RSVP timely and accurately regardless so we know the exact count of people who are still interested in participating.
- Attending the game while on the waitlist is at your own risk. Your participation is NOT guaranteed if we reach the full capacity (capped at 22).
- We have a zero-tolerance policy for physical altercation. Anyone who throws hands during the game will be immediately and permanently removed from our group.

RSVP Rules:
- Please update your RSVP promptly and accurately at least an hour before the game. This will help others on the waitlist to step in on time. No shows or dropping out of the game late within the LAST hour before the game will result in a two-week game suspension.
- Please let event organizers know in advance if you plan on leaving the game early. Otherwise, you will be given a two-week game suspension.

By joining Chantilly Co-ed Soccer, I CERTIFY the following:
1. I am at least 18 years of age or older.
2. I understand the risks involved in playing soccer and I partake in Chantilly Co-ed Soccer’s games and events at my own risk.
3. Chantilly Co-ed Soccer Club and its organizer/game hosts are not responsible for any injuries happened during the games and events.
4. Any violation of these group rules may result in warnings, two-week game suspension, or a permanent ban at the organizer's discretion.

Annual Member Due:
Our current, annual membership fee is $38. It will be applied to the shared cost of seasonal permit fees, soccer equipment, and annual meetup group subscription fee, and other miscellanous items. After we re-assess total expenses incurred during the current year, the annual membership fee is subject to change in the next year.
